Using a $1 million grant from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office, the Port of Everett will start renovation work at the Jetty Landing Boat Launch, which is the largest public boat launch in the state and averages nearly 30,000 launches annually.

The Port of Everett announced in a press release that project design will begin early next year, with in-water construction anticipated to start in 2027. Work is scheduled to be completed by February 2028 at the latest.

“We are grateful to the Recreation and Conservation Office for investing in a facility that serves boaters from across Washington,” said Jeff Lindhout, the Port of Everett's chief of marina operations, in the press release. “Improvements like this require significant capital beyond what launch fees provide. These new floats answer long-standing requests from boaters and will greatly enhance safety and the overall experience of launching a boat here at the Port of Everett.

The project will replace up to six floats that support 12 launch lanes. The new floats will be designed to fit with the existing piles. Work will be carried out and completed while maintaining launch access throughout the construction process.
